About the Artist
Rya Drake-Hueston is an interdisciplinary artist who lives between the Navajo Reservation and the West Coast. They are a nonbinary nadleehi-identifying individual whose love for artifact and history fuels their studio practice.
Rya graduated with honors from Dartmouth College with a concentration in Studio Art, and went on to receive their Masters of Fine Arts from California College of the Arts in 2017.
Rya currently spends their time working on their studio practice, and caring for their grandmother's farm at Navajo Mountain.
